UoN members of the NEMF21 project organized a special session on "Stochastic Methods for Complex EMC Systems", co-chaired by Gabriele Gradoni and Valter Mariani Primiani (Universita' Politecnica delle Marche, Ancona, Italy) at the European Microwave Week, London ExCel, 3-7 October 2016.

Within a side project with Telecom Italia Lab, Italy, Gabriele Gradoni attended the European Electromagnetics Symposium, Imperial College, London, July 2016, where he presented a research on the application of the Random Coupling Model to predict the propagation of wireless signals inside buildings, in collaboration with Prof. Thomas Antonsen (University of Maryland, College Park, USA) and Davide Micheli (Telecom Italia Lab, Rome, Italy)

A paper entitled 'High Frequency Propagation in Large and Multiply Connected Electromagnetic Environments,' was presented by Gabriele Gradoni and the IEEE Symposium on Metrology in Aerospace 2016, June 2016, Florence, Italy. It was also awarded the Best Poster Paper Award.
