Fabrice Mortessagne visited Damienne Bajon from the 24th to 25th of November in Toulouse to discuss the possible experiments and the tasks foreseen for the PostDoc, which will start in Toulouse in the near future.

WELCOMED TO NEMF21

University of Nottingham has fulfilled NEMF21 positions. Recruited were two Research Assistants (Posdoc) and one PhD position. We welcome Dr Mr Sendy Phang Dr and Ms Deepthee Madenoor Ramapriya in Mathematics and Dr Ismaeel Maricar at the George Green Institute. With the help of university funding, we were able to fill two further PhD positions linked to the aims of the NEMF21 project. Mr Diyar Muhammed and Mr Valon Blakaj have recently become part of our team.

Sidina Wane, Dominique Lesenechal from NXP and Damienne Bajon from ISAE visited Nottingham for a period of one week. This visit was also partially funded by the COST ACTION IC 1407. They mostly worked on characterisation of a prototype demonstrator.

Johannes Russer from TUM visited Nottingham from the 11th October to the 22nd October 2015. This visit was partially funded by the COST ACTION IC 1407. During his visit he worked on the near field scanning of stochastic radiators based on small 9V DC motors.

IMST HOSTS THE NEMF21 KICK OFF MEETING

IMST GmbH kindly hosted the NEMF21 project kick-off meeting on 7 October 2015. Introductions, presentations and discussions were held during the day to plan the early stages of the three year project.

Josef Nossek (TUM) and Ingo Wolff (IMST) gave talks about MultiportCommunication Systems and Efficient Electromagnetic Field Simulation of Electrically Large and Complex Systems respectively.
